An intimate, small-group gathering held in my home - a relaxed, welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and connect with other parents navigating family food and wellbeing.

This workshop is for you if you are:

  • Curious about gut health, microbes, and nourishing your family from the inside out

  • Interested in fermentation, but unsure where to begin

  • Wanting to bring simple, living foods — and a little fizz — into your everyday rhythm

  • Looking for inspiration that feels realistic, not overwhelming

No prior knowledge needed. Just curiosity.

What You’ll Learn

I’ve spent over a decade fermenting foods for families — what began as curiosity became a daily practice, and eventually, a quiet kind of magic in the kitchen.

In this session, I’ll share fermentation not just as a technique, but as a blend of science, tradition, and alchemy — a way to gently support your family’s gut health while bringing more ease and creativity into meals.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • The foundations of fermentation — what it is, why it matters, and how it supports the gut

  • Fermented foods my family eat - where to buy them and how to introduce them to your family.

  • How to confidently start making fermented drinks at home.

  • Simple, family-friendly recipes that fit into real life

  • Practical strategies to reduce food stress and make nourishing habits feel achievable

What To Expect

  • A warm welcome with homemade fermented drinks and seasonal, gut-loving snacks

  • Gentle introductions and reflections (no pressure if it’s your first time)

  • Introduction to Fermentation — meet my first love “Kevin the Kefir”

  • Kefir Workshop — learn to make both water kefir and milk kefir

  • Summer Recipe Demonstration — light, seasonal ways to use fermented foods at home

  • Closing conversation, Q&A, and take-home resources

You’ll also leave with:

  • Your own water kefir + milk kefir starters (SCOBYs)

  • Recipe handouts and simple fermentation guides

  • Ongoing support through the Gutsy community

If this is your first Gutsy event, you’ll receive a Gutsy Welcome Pack — a gentle introduction to microbes, gut health, and how it all fits into family life.
